What the hell do you mean by African??? I am south african, and white. That makes me an african, and yes i have taken martial arts, karate, aikido, aikijutsu, tho none to a proficient level. Yes capoera was created by black slaves in Brazil, but they are now Brasilian people, not african. Please clarify.

But if you mean indigenous african peoples, like the bushmen, zulu, etc. etc.

Ummmm, yes they did practice a martial art. Called tribal warfare with hide shields and spears and clubs called knobkerries (zulu) and the bushmen practived "survive in the Kalahari Desert and hunt for food and dig up special roots for water"

nope not to many tae kwan do McDojos in Tribal Africa

tho now many countries must have imported watered down Korean martial

Brazilian slaves created a martial art disguised as a dance-form called capoeira. It has elements of tribal warfare dance which is pre-colonial as I assume that is the African you are asking about, not white colonists who have ingrained contempt for the indigenous peoples.
