went and saw the doc today and he's suggested ultrasound therapy on my back. finding it hard to find much info on it so wondered if anyone had had it or knew someone who had and whether you could tell me whats involved. I know i should have asked my doc but he was kinda busy! Thanks!

Yes. It is usually used when your muscle pain is too deep for normal massage, which would cause quite a bit of pain for the masseuse to reach that deeply. It is completely painless and only last for 5-10 minutes on each area. In short it does the work of a massage without the pain. Ultrasound is a sound frequency that is beyond the range of normal human hearing. However, the rapid vibrations of ultrasound stimulate the muscles yes. Its lovely! same thing they use when you are pregnant. Doesn't hurt. Can tingle a bit. Hope this link helps

yes I had it
you will feel better after the 3rd treatment
then you will fall asleep during them .thats how much they help
