Never heard that one, but urine is supposed to help with burns, so I guess if it doesn't gross you out to dig in your ear and put it on your lips, you'll be fine to try it:)

Ear Wax For Fever Blisters

Earwax may soothe the burning or discomfort associated with fever blisters (aka cold sores), but it is a treatment I would not reccomend. Fever blisters are caused by a virus and are best treated with anti-viral prescription drugs or by OTC creams that treat the symptoms. Ear wax has no anti-viral properties, and actually traps dirt and dead skin cells in your ears. Ear wax is designed to trap anything foreign that gets into the ear canals. Dirt, tiny bits of plant material, small insects, bacteria, and so forth are trapped by wax. The primary purpose of ear wax is to protect your ear canal and ear drum from such foreign materials by trapping it before it gets in there too deep. In short, ear wax is full of microbes, dirt, and bacteria that if applied to open skin could result in a bacterial infection on top of your fever blisters. You might just end up making your problem worse.

It might be, but the purpose of earwax is to trap dirt and dust in the air so that it can't reach your eardrum and cause you to get sick. Why would you want to put something that is essentially polluted on a sore? Sounds like a recipe for trouble to me.

I have never heard of that. Earwax has it's own purpose. Is someone trying to fool you?
