I have an orange tabby that is almost 2 and he does similar things. when we are playing he gets over stimulated and bites. he likes to play rough...if your cat has a tendancy to do that too then that's all he's doing...he bites you probably because you are the one he plays with...he sees you as a playmate and wants to instigate rough play. He may grow out of it as he ages but then again he might not. When he gets to aggressive I either give him a light tap on the nose, squirt him with water, or just ignore him and move away from him...he'll the the picture that he crossed a line....but again he may instigate again later. My cat is extremely playful and we go round and round with him about this. I've also gotten him teddy bears (small enough for him to carry) and beanie babies and i try to direct his aggression toward those instead. I've had moderate success with that but really anything is worth a try.
any other questions feel free to message me...i've been through the gamit of behavioral issues with this cat...he's particularly naughtly...and I've had a lot of other successes with behavioral issues.

My Kitten used to bite me alot. Not sure why they like to bite, but I got her to quit. Loud noises work sometime, but I had to up the penalty for her when she still kept doing it. My solution was I would put on my heavy duty gloves and give her a bath when she bit me. She HATEs baths. I'd do it everytime. She doesn't bite and it the cleanest cat on the block.
My point is, verbal comands for a Cat work better on Dogs than Cats. You don't neccessarily have to do what I did, but you may need to step up the discipline.

i've got had cats all my existence and what you describe is actual favourite habit. one in each and every of my cats will arise on my pillow at the back of my head and commence washing my brow while he feels i've got slept long adequate. My different cat greets me on the door when I come domicile from artwork. He sits on the windowsill waiting for my vehicle to tug into the stress. existence could be so uninteresting without my toddlers. in my view, i think of canines are extraordinary. Cats are favourite and consequently we like them. you don't be responsive to what love is till you have been enjoyed by skill of a cat!

Speak to him in a serious and loud tone while telling him a catch word like "no" or "teeth" or something like that. You have to be consistent, though, and do it every single time. While our male cat was a kitten (he'll be 10 this year!), he would bite us sometimes. He now knows that even if we're playing with him, his teeth are not to come into contact with our skin. We don't even have to use our word ("Teeth!") any more. He bolts if he accidentally even touches his teeth to our skin.

make sure when you play with him it's not rough because he will get carried away, dont play with things that tease him where he will try to bite the toy to get at it, you can play with balls (cats love balls), ribbons or strings but try not to use your hands or little toys when you play with him, he can play with those himself and he wont bite anything but the toy. Cats are not humans they dont know any better...you have to watch how you are playing with him, you may be baiting him.

My boy kitty he bites when we are playing. I have a very affectionate female that will bite me when she is really happy. She will purr really loud, thats her way of expressing she is really really happy. Mayby some sort of kitty orgasm I dunno lol. My mothers cat is bi-polar she is nice for about 2 minutes while you pet her then she will bite you when she doesn't want me around anymore. Cats are amazing creatures, they do get mellower as they get older. Do you get alot of attention in your family, your kitty may be jealous ;)

hes still a kitten....kinda....its a behavior that hes done...I found that a light flick on his nose will stop him from biting...I have a 7 year old tabby that does the same thing....he may never grow out of it...but this will tell him that you dont like to be bit...eddie (male tabby) still bites but not hard...

Here are some ideas:
- Spray him with a spray bottle. (filled with water, of course).
- BITE HIM BACK!!! GRRRR!!! (that's what I do).
- Hold him down until he shuts up. (he might meow, but keep him there until he calms down, and stops wagging his tail.)
- Tap him on the nose. (not too hard, not too light).
Good Luck!

If he's biting when you play with him you might be playing to rough with him. try telling him in a stern voice no or stop it and then pick him up and love on him. show him whos boss.
