To funny, good answers, the underlying question is, "how many calories" can I have, 1/6th of a pizza's worth, if you don't eat the crusty part you might get by with 1/8th

question 12 inch or twelve slice?

12 inch has nothing to do with the answer. If the question is as you stated the answer is 1. 1 the number of slices in question 6 total slices.

if you meant 12 slices instead of 12 inches then you take one whole pizza that has 12 of 12 slices that is 12/12.
(1/6 of 12 /12) this mathematically translates 1/6 * 12/12 = ?
find a common denominator 12.
Then multiply the first fraction by 2 to give you 2/12 of 12/12 cancel out your 12's to leave you the answer.
the number of slices it would take to get 1/6th of a 12 slice pizza means that your answer is 2.

1/6 of a 12" pizza is equal to 1 slice because you would have to count the fraction by the number of slices and the pizza would have to have 6 slices. 1/8 would be one slice, 1/12 would be one slice. The denominator is telling you how many total slices there are. To be perfect, each slice would have to be cut a 60 degree angle.

If the pizza is cut into 6 equal portions then 1/6 of the pizza would be one slice. If it were cut into 12 equal pieces then 1/6 of the pizza would be 2 slices.

It depends upon how many slices the pizza is cut into. If it's cut into 6 slices, then your answer is 1. If it's cut into 12 slices, then your answer is 2 (2 times 6 equals 12) If it's cut into 8 slices, then you get one and have to cut the last 2 pieces into thirds, and then you get one of those pieces

well.... i went to public school and we learned that 1/6 of anything is 1/6. so there would be 6 slices out of a 12 inch pizza cut into 1/6. maybe those that went to private schools or that were home schooled have a different answer.

If you cut the pizza in 6 equal slices, 1/6 will be one slice out of those 6 slices that you cut.

That depends on the total slices. If there are 6 slices, then only one. If there are 8 slices, then 1 1/3 slices.

It doesn't matter what size the pizza is, 1/6 of a pizza or any-
thing else for that matter gives you 6 slices, or 6 pieces.

1 slice if you cut the pizza out evenly into 6 slices which is about 6 inches wide at the top, if you're doing wedges.
