I am trying to find out if my mother is related to him, but I am having trouble searching him and his childern, can someone please find his family tree and give me the link?

THATS NOT WHAT I MEAN STUPID! I mean its a tree like chart that shows a family, like your grandfather at the top and by your grandmother then under them their childern, who their childern married and so forth.

I've looked at World Connect, which is a huge collection of family trees, and have found all the John Chamberlains listed. Here's the link:

After a quick look, most appear to have settled in New England. In fact, none listed died in Yorktown.

I would suggest that instead of finding John, you work back from your mother. You can use the tools at

http://www.rootsweb.com

You can also go to your library and use Heritage Quest online. That resource has several genealogies posted--put in "Chamberlain" and see what you can find.

From nearly 30 years' experience, I can tell you that finding the tree of someone long ago and then trying to "link" to your family often doesn't work--you are relying on the scholarship of the genealogist, and they might not have everyone. You are more likely to find what you need by working from the present time back.

The family tree is located at the back of the lot at:
224 Ballard Street
Yorktown, Virginia 23690

It is a spruce, and is not common to the area, but not rare either. It sits next to many other trees, but this one is commonly referred to as the "Chamberlain Family Tree"

PS, my grandfather was never in our family tree. --He was allergic to bark
