There's a girl I like at work that may have liked me before, and may still but i'm not sure because she is a seeing a guy. Anyway we usually get along very well and laugh and she is around me alot, and she's laughs at alot of things I do or say. Today however I guess I didn't pay much attention to her, so towards the end of the day she made a minor negative comment about me to someone else at work, then she didn't even look in my direction for the rest of the day. As a result I paid her absolutely no attention back. She just became very quiet and kept to herself the rest of the day. She seemed a little down. I didn't attack her in anyway. What could this mean?

She has gotten used to the attention you give her and was upset (and probably ego-hurt) when she didn't get what she wanted - AND EXPECTED - from you. If she's seeing someone else, she will always compare you two against each other. It's her own personal piece of power that fuels her self-esteem. If there's any perceived hurt in her relationship with her guy, you may indeed expect to feel the brunt of it, rather than take it up (or out) on him, you're an easier target because she's not in a "true" relationship with you.
Don't worry...this too will pass because she's a junkie for your attention. If you don't mind being on the short end of this power dynamic stick, then just keep giving her that extra special attention she loves and she'll come back around. But expect this to worsen in the future.

She seems like she likes you, because she was hurt when you didnt pay attention to her. Especially since she was down at the end of the day. The reason she made a negative comment about you was because she was hurt. i suggest next time you go to work talk to her and see how shes doing with her guy. Maybe add in that you feel like she was a little down the other night and want to know whats up

It sounds like she is playing games with you. She is seeing someone else but likes your attention... If she is that fickle (gets her feelings hurt easily) she may be someone you don't want to be involved with. Give it some more time and either way it will probably work itself out. In the mean time, continue to be your usual nice self to her, but not overly attentive and see what happens.

It means she wants attention but dates someone else. Getting involved with a co-worker usually has a bad ending.

You should talk to her and say I am so sorry I was busy... You know I enjoy talking to you and be around... pls don't get the wrong Idea that I am mad at you or something... So, If you do notice or anything pls you can tell me what the plm is... and I cna tell you and I rather to hear from you not from someone else..

well she has some kind of feelings for you and that does not necessarily means she likes you but she might have just been upset at the fact that you did not pay her any attention but if that is truly the case then she probably does like you in some way
