Tell her age isn't relevant, I'm 38 and my partner (2 yrs this yr) is 20. OK we have some differences, but our families completely except us as a couple. Even where we live (rural area on outskirts of a city) Must admit though walking through the local city before Christmas couldn't work out what this mother and daughter were looking at, suddenly realised they were staring at us!!! I find it funny, Ive never been judgemental, and I'm into personality over looks.
Tell her if there's an attraction there go for it, enjoy each day, and live for the day.

ok. i had a relationship with a guy 12 years younger than me. when it started i was 36, he was 24. most people think i'm about 10 years younger than i am, so there were no *comments*, and people who knew us didn't give a s**t.
in some ways it was great. he was a lovely, lovely guy. and it was fun having a younger lover.
but notice that this is past tense!
in the end, although he said the age didn't matter, what did matter was the stage that we were at in our lives. i had the (part-time) responsibility for 3 kids, needed some kind of stability. had done the partying thing and bored of doing it again quite quickly. he wasn't mature enough to deal with the kind of relationship i needed, and i wasn't able to give him the kind of relationship he wanted...
so i would say age doesn't matter, but maturity does. if she wants some fun, and he's up for it too, then she should just go for it. if she's prepared for the possibility that she may be a *trophy* for him - older woman, nudge, nudge, wink, wink - as well as him being a *toyboy* to her....
but she should be careful if she's looking for something more... take it slowly and make sure that he *really* wants what he says he wants - that he's really considered what he's letting himself in for - before she gets in too deep.

Tell her to do what she feels is best, to go for what she thinks will make her happy... she has to choose her own way. I think when two people are together in a relationship, it's between them... there's always going to be some onlooker ready to put them down whatever they happen to be doing, that doesn't matter...
And you never know, maybe they will find that their characters fit in a special way? There could be a happy future... still, it's one thing to catch the boy's interest, another thing to keep hold of it... but maybe your friend doesn't want to keep it for a long time? You owe your friend support above anything else... if you think she's in danger, tell her that, if not, just tell her to follow her heart.
My dad was 22 years older than my mum... my last partner was twelve years older than me. There... now I've shared something.

I believe in honesty- if she goes out with him and things get serious, she should tell the truth about her age- hey look at Demi Moore and Ashton ( great couple together- and the age difference is big too). So tell her to go for it- but always saying the truth. This will save her lots of problems in the future.

From a guy's perspective- wow. If she has friends, then I need phone numbers. Nothing gets a guy hard like Mahogany than an older woman. Now, from her perspective she should care less about everyone else, enjoy her b-toy for as long as it lasts between them and then move on. The more other people complain just means they are secretly jealous of her and wish they had enough self-confidence to date someone that young.
Ciao!

well I'm 51 now & get lots of attention too. I married my toy boy if that's what you like to call them....He's 27 now, we've been together for nearly 8 years & married for over 5 yrs. other people will have stuff to say...funny thing was that all my mates that had something to say ended up dating younger guys themselves as well. Tell her to go ahead & do as she bloody well wants to.
Others live their lives without asking her permission. She'll need to be strong though at times.
Have fun & make sure she's fit cos she'll be going all night long....lol
I could NEVER go out with a guy that was older than me...not now I've had a much younger one thanks....

I love women in their 30s and 40s. Nowadays most of them are fit and sexy and because they have experience are more interesting than younger girls. However I have to say that this age gap is too large. The guy will inevitably leave her for someone else. It's doomed to failure and she'll end up with a broken heart. Better to get real and end it now and find someone nearer her own age i.e. 36+

Go for it girl. Im at that same stage and have had my share of attention and enjoyed it but you do have to be careful and not get hurt. The guys I met have played with my feelings a bit, so now Im just more cautious
Good luck

As long as she's not mutton dressed as lamb why shouldn't she enjoy the attention but there's nothing more ridiculace looking than wee fat women trying to look sexy in a red basque and hold ups.. my god it would put you off the fair sex for months,
