Heres the story: My girl friend asked me out about a week ago. for a few days the only talking that went on between us was saying hi when we passed by eachother. today i finally asked her why she wont talk to me, she said "i hardly even know you" and walked away. than at lunch she came and huged me and said hi which felt good but confusing. than after lunch she said " i like you alot, but i hardly know anything about you, so could we just be friends and get to know each other first, then maby we can go out"
so my questions are:
1. what dose this mean to you?
2. what would you do?
3. i thought that you go out to get to know eachother, is this correct?

I can understand your confusion because she could at least make some small talk, you know, not just not speak to you altogether. Maybe she is shy... But then again you say she did the asking out. OK, she may not know what 'going out means' to you and may be afraid now that she did the asking that you're going to expect something sexual right away... just a guess. I suggest letting her know that you do want to get to know her, and then try starting some small talk when you have the chance. Sounds like she is trying to say she needs to take it slow.. I do understand why you'd be confused though... So be careful.. don't lose your heart right away to someone who may be sending mixed signals..

ok she's just probably scared and the worst thing you can do is pressure her she'll just back away. what you need to do is give her some space and get info from another source ask a friend of hers whats going on...what she want. then a cute idea is writing a note to her kind of like you would in grade school when you were introducing yourself about yourself. ya know who you are what you do what you like what you dilike like that. so she gets a jist about what your all about. If a guy took the time to meet my need by doing this so i can feel more comfortable i wouldn't let him go.

She sounds like a trip.
Anyway,
1. This sounds to me like she likes you but is nervous about getting into a relationship with someone she doesn't know very well and doesn't want to be hurt.
2. I would ask her if she want to hang out somewhere no pressure and she can ask you all the questions she want to about you so she can get to know you - you seem like a nice guy.
3. She may want to take it slower than dating before she feels she know you.

well actually goin out is more than getting to know each other. at least most girls think this. she wants to be ur friend before your boy friend if this makes sence. she likes you but is hesitante because she doesnt want you to turn out to be some crazy loser. i would wait. become her best frined (but a guy) and dont push the whole relationship. when she likes you and feels comfortubal with you she'll let you take it farther

Dude, your right. But at the same time you need to take her advise and just take her out and get to know each other. Quit acting like a chic and do your thing. Your thinking too much of this.

well it sounds like she does like you, i mean she did ask you out right? i think you should just call her and be like hey i really like you too, so let's go do something so we get to know each other a little better. if she wants friends first, you'll have to respect that, and make sure she knows you respect that. you don't want to make her feel pressured. just take your time and get to know her. don't be so worried about what you call it, friends, a couple, whatever, just go with it and whatever's supposed to happen will happen :)

1. this means that she wanted to go out with you for no reason and she wanted a reson to love you.
2. i would wait and call her a ***** if she said no and made me wait that long
3. goin out is when you no something about that person and want to no more about that person so your right but if you don't no nothing about this person why do you like them so much to go out with them!
