Well, it is difficult to really know what is going on in the "going out" world until you are in it. It seems that she likes the look of you and figured folks were pairing up so she picked you. Now that she is in it for a bit she realizes that it is important to get to know a little something about the person first, or the going out isn't all that much fun. I mean you should have somethings in common and an easy way to socialize - maybe have friends you share or walk home in a similar direction - some way that you can connect comfortably to get to know each other.
In school, it seems that going out is to get to know someone - but in the dating world, you don't really go out with anyone you know nothing about (except for blind dates, but that is a totally different kind of thing). There is a natural progression - of aquaintance, friend, more than friend, lover - in romantic relationships (though the length of those stages varies from couple to couple).
If you like this girl, roll with it and see where it leads.
Peace!

You both sound kind of young and inexperienced. You have to start some where, so start where you're at now and go forward from there. She made the first move by "asking you out" - whatever that means today, and telling you she likes you a lot and hugging you.
Perhaps you could ask her to help you with a problem your having in one of your school subjects, or maybe would she like to come over to your house and you could study together over a microwave pizza, or something, so you can get to know each other better. Use your imagination.

ok first if she asked u out it means she likes you. truth is it means what she is saying.. she probably does like you and wants to get to know u better as a person. u know that she physically is attracted to u because she asked u out.. try just spening time with her.. the best relationships are those that start off as friendships and if it is meant to be it will be.. maybe she is a afraid of having a relationship with someone she hardly knows. I will take it to assumption that u r both young teenagers so one thing is for sure u have all the time in the world.. be a friend first before u r a boyfriend learn her likes and dislikes ..and then see where it goes... have fun

Man girls are crazy. I would say if you like her deal with the crazy things and don't try to understand them because you will never succeed. So what this means is you probably said something or did something with your Friends that she did not like nothing you can do but forget it. What I would do well it sounds like your still in school and take it from me now is not the time for long relationships have fun now (I am not saying screw everything that walks) but have fun because when you get to my age and tied down you don't want any regrets but if you like her play the game.
And yes you do go out to get to know each other maybe you tried something Little to soon.

If a woman talks to you, she likes you. This is how they show they are interested in you. But---there are many levels to a woman's interest and affection, many hazards to advance through before she takes you seriously.
Women usually MUST get to know the whole person they relate to, especially if it's a guy they're interested in. Women relate to an entire person, and see everyone as unique....this takes time.
Women also see and understand many details about people that men do not. It takes time for them to get to know a guy, because they are judging everything about him. They will continue to analyse a guy's clothes, speech, opinions, facial expressions, and be thinking positive or negative things, and deciding if they should be interested in him.
All of this takes time!

Well I'll answere #3 1st..
Its not true that you go out to get to know eachother! You should be friends so you know if you like there personality and so your not weird around them! She probley felt odd around you and like she couldent be herself! I would just be friends and not push anything because if she figures out ur a good guy she will want you SOO much and if it dosent work then shes not worth your time!

1) she's interested, and she's afraid of being put down, or getting hurt by you. She's afraid of REJECTION-- arent we all?!
2) if i were her-- i'd probably do the same thing, because i've wasted too much time with people who made me feel uncomfortable because i didnt know them-- but i might have known ABOUT them, so keep your ears open for any silly rumors she might have heard.
3) friendship should always come BEFORE any kind of relationship-- unless you're into blind-dating, which i really wouldnt advocate. Wouldnt you feel MORE comfortable being close to someone you knew everything about, than being close to someone who was a stranger? That might seem kind of dark, and uninviting-- which is kind of the opposite of any REAL, relationship.

dont take this so seriously, and dont do any thing just stay cool and let her make the moves for a while if you like some one else ask them out dont play the game just stay cool and wait for her next move. and yes people do date to get to know each other but apparently you both are very young, there is no rush and every thing doesnt have to always mean any thing, another words every thing she does doesnt have to always mean some thing.and thats what i would do and thats what i think.

Sounds like you moved too fast initially for her.
Some girls need to take things slow and feel like they improve their counterparts.
1) Go out (non-romantically) about 3 times.
2) Talk to her on the phone and let her know that she has improved you somehow. Make something up if you have to.
3) Next time you go out, you'll be back to romance.
Proven method. It works.
