The Bible is not an accurate history book. It is made up of many types of literature. It is a composite of the stories and practices of a primitive people in the ancient Middle East. Many of these accounts had existed in the Middle East before the Torah was written. There was a lot of evolution of ideas over a long period of time, before the Hebrews believed they were a one people under one God.
It is open to debate as to whether the one YHWH of the Jewish people is the one god for all peoples. When Abraham heard a voice, it was the God of his tribe. This God became the God for all the Hebrew people when they were in Egypt. After the crossing of the Red Sea, and the miracles associated with it, they considered their God to be THE god.

Incidentally, there is no mention of the Jews or Moses in any Egyptian records. Josephus had a few words, but he was a Jewish historian who worked as a patsy for the Romans.

The Bible like other religious texts is a translation and recording of thoughts passed on through civilizations existing before them. It isnt for sure a record of God's interaction with mankind but it sure is the recording of similar beliefs ; like the saviour ; doomsday etc. which have originated from societies in prehistoric times. Some claim that its actually a story woven around the knowledge of astrology of the zodiac. And its our perception which gives us the story but the knowledge is what was supposed to be passed on.
There is no God. The best way to live life is to do the best unto urself or do nothing at all. Time itself will give judgement to you in the form of what is right and wrong and those will be your decisions to live with.

You are close, however off a bit. The Bible is not so much a historic record of God's interaction with mankind--though that is included in the text in many areas. The main purpose of the Bible is to prophesy the first and second coming of Messiah, from the first prophetic passage in Genesis, to the culmination in Revelation 22. This is the main theme and crux of the scriptures.

Jesus said in John 5:39, "You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me."

As for the silent period, this is not the first. There is always a silent period before the coming of Messiah. There was one between the testaments, and there is one now.

Matthew 24:48-51
"But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming, and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

2 Peter 3:9
"The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."

There is everything recorded in history, There is no thousand of year that has elapsed, anywhere, It it is true from Malachi, to St. Matthew there was a persion of about 400 yrs here Israel did not have a Prophet, You have all the such interreactions since down through time, That God did set his eyes on his people & not left them without God's leadership. It was just about 400 years that God did not need a prophet. Because God himself was watching over it all, then when it came to time for God to moved once again, he sent Malachi has their last OT testament Prophet, But we do Have prophets today also.

In the New Testament It says that He will write His commandments in our hearts. The body is the Temple that He manifests Himself through!! When we have the Holy Ghost, it is God residing in us!! To get the Holy Ghost just follow what is written in Acts 2:38. And when you come up out from the water, you will be a new creature in Christ!! You will know when you have the Holy Ghost, Acts 2:4, 10:45-46, 19:6, and St. Mark 16:17!! Go for it and never look back!! Let God do a miracle for you!!!

My opinion of this is that god has existed since the beginning of time. now exactly when that was is being debated every day for the rest of eternity. so, i figure that when god takes a break from dealing with mankind , it is probably a lunch break, that to us seems like a couple thousand years, but to god is like a half hour!

No, the Bible is not an accurate historical record of God's interaction with mankind, but is the Jewish testimony of their God. Many cultures had God(s) and Goddess far before the Jewish accounts.

God has been interacting with us for the past couple thousands of years. The Koran, The Book of Mormon, Mary Baker Eddy, Jim Jones, David Koresh, Heaven's Gate, that guy down in Florida that claims he's Jesus. The problem is that you don't listen to God when he talks to you!!!! Stop wasting your life and join a cult or something.

I'm only kidding. God doesn't exist. Every rational human being already know this.

Yes, it is a historical record of Jesus' interaction with mankind. The reason it hasn't been updated for the last thousands of years is because it is a record of what was going on when He was here on Earth interacting with us. He has not abandoned us, He is still with is if we'll let Him be.

No it is not. For one thing the bible has been altered and massacred numerous times. Look at the gnostic gospels for example.

God is not about hate and bigotry, like the bible. God is not jealous and smiteful. There was no world wide flood. Jesus was the son of Joseph. Paul was a homophobe and Pope Gregory was a liar.
