I've started a 1 day per week lecturing/tutoring job at a local college. Some of the girls on the course are real stunners and flirt with me a lot. I know it's illegal for teachers to have affairs with pupils at schools, but what about college lecturers. The girls are all 18-21. It would be very easy to invite them round to my place for some extra tuition etc.

You obviously have not got a teaching qualification, or you would not need to ask.

Under 16 it is a criminal offence

between 16 and 18 the students are under your care, thus you are Parenti loci, or the parental figure in absence of their own parents, thus it is not only unethical, but illegal, you would loose your CRB certificate, be dismissed from your teaching job, and face criminal prosecution from the parents and/or the college.

Over 18 you are deemed to be in a position of trust, and most colleges would view any relationship as highly unethical, and probably dismiss you instantly from the books.

Universities are a little more relaxed, as the students are deemed to be entering the adult stage of their life, however, relationships are not frowned upon in the same faculty, and you and/or the student would be removed from each others contact, and you would receive a written warning, and some ethical advice from the senior tutor.

i might try this. as quickly as college starts off up back, call the college and record the instructor anonymously. tell them you have evidence this instructor is fooling with your brother and in the event that they do no longer do something approximately then you will seek for criminal suggestion and press expenditures. i've got self assurance by regulation they're going to could inspect it. this way your brother will haven't any theory who became her in and your mom won't discover out. i'm not sure its a solid theory to tell her besides, notably if the instructor gets caught. regrettably she will maximum in all danger discover out as quickly as the instructor is caught.

You'll definitely lose your job if you get caught as it's a conflict of interest (sexual favors in turn for good grades, etc.). But hey - if they're willing, then by all means be able, just don't be a "chester the molester" style dude and make passes at THEM...let THEM come to you! You'll get more that way (trust me, I'm a woman and it's one of my fantasies from college) and it will be more intriguing and pleasurable for you both!

I don't think there is a actually law preventing any college educator from dating a student.....but just because there isn't a law doesn't mean it's ethical and if you do it and you are found out, you could possibly ruin any chance of ever working in academia again.

if the people are above 18, you can lose your job although there wont be any legal repercussions. if they are below 18 then you can be done for statutory rape etc and abusing a position of power if you engage in any kind of relationship with them

I am glad you are not teaching my daughter. Think about code of ethics. That is a no no whatever school you teach at.

You can get into problems with favoritism, blackmail, accusations of rape this list goes on. DO NOT DO IT.

You'd have to check your employee handbook from the college. It's not illegal but it's probably against the college's policy.

Keep it in your pants
