Do men mean it when they say you look nice without make up? Do they even notice?

When did I say I only wanted to be with someone who likes my looks?.I am not shallow thankyou.I just wanted to know if its just a joke only known to men.I mean I look rough without it and my boyfriend says differently which made me think do they even notice.

The first time I met him I wasnt wearing make up.And i mentioned that I needed to go home to get my self ready (make up,wash my hair,bath) basically just sorting myself out.And he said why? with a puzzled look on his face.And i said well I really rough and thats when he said you dont really look any different.Thats when I didnt know if this was really a compliment or insult.But hes my boyfriend I suppose,which should mean he finds me attractive.xx

It really all depends on the guy. Some guys pay attention to the lower part of the body. Some the middle. Some the very top. And some the whole thing, including the personality. Me for one do pay attention to that. And love the way a girl looks without makeup. To me make looks like a mask. A something blocking a woman's true features.

Um, it doesn't always take makup to look nice. Some people look better without it. I, personally prefer women without it, yes I can certainly tell the difference. (And I can thank an insane ex for that.)

Is this an insecurity? It sounds like you seem to think you only look nice WITH makeup. After all, you're basically asking us if people are lying to you when they say you look nice without it.

Stop worrying. I take all compliments like a grain of salt. Some people compliment solely to gain points and it doesn't matter the occasion. Others solely on honesty, while still others are a mix of both. To make things more fun, its pretty hard to tell who's who sometimes. So don't worry about. There are more important thing to worry about than how you look with/without makeup. Hope that helps.

I used to wear make-up every day even when i had no where to go, so naturally the first time my husband saw me without make-up I felt ugly.You'd be surprised to know that yes most men do mean it.There are some instances where a little lip gloss would help, and no they don't notice if you have make-up or not unless........you have so much on you look like a clown or not any that you look dead(there's the lip gloss tip)

I always tell my gfs that they look nice without makeup and I always mean it. I mean sure, makeup is nice everyonce in while when u just want to add some color to your face but not every time that someone sees u. It's like all of the different colors of hair highlights. It's nice for a change but not all the time. Personally I just like to see girls faces without anything covering it. Why do people need to try to make themselves "perfect" with make up anyway? Don't u think that u r already beautiful?

I know I mean it when I say it to my girlfriend, even if she will never believe me for the rest of our lives. I think my girlfriend looks gorgeous with or without makeup. Personally, I actually think she looks better without it. I tell my cousin the same thing. She's a pretty girl but she looks better without makeup (although that might just be the fact that I've seen her all my life without make up until she got into high school.)

I would say yes. My boyfriend can never tell if I'm wearing makeup, but when I do wear it, I never put a lot on. I think when guys say mention no makeup that they are just saying they don't like having your makeup flake off on them or that you have a lot of makeup on and it covers up or takes away from your natural beauty.

Some girls/ladies look better without make up. Some simple just don’t know how to put them on correctly, which will make them look bad. Put on some make up and ask some of your friends for advice and to see what they think. If they say you look better without make up then what he said must be right. Otherwise you will need to buy some books on the right way to apply make up.

well if the guy truly cares about you then he doesnt care what you look like with or without male-up....he would like you no for just your looks.but there are some guys out there that do notice when your not wearing make-up and will say something. but when a guy says u look nice without make-up he probally means it.......cuz they dont normally just notice things like that.

All men do mean it when they say that you look nice with make up on and without it. Some men notice and some men do not notice when you have make up on and do not have it on. All men notice when you are wearing a great pair of jeans and they say your butt looks nice in them.
