It means different things in different places, but cursory research shows it's a felony sex crime.

It appears to involve force and/or children.

In other words, I wouldn't want your neighbor. Hopefully it was an isolated event with him or her.

Edit: Munkler also has a good suggestion. Look him or her up in a sex offender registry and find out exactly what happened. I've never looked in a registry but I would assume that it would list a cause number and the jurisdiction in which it was prosecuted. Chances are you can get the records and have a much better idea of what happened. Also, you can see if he or she has committed other offenses.

If it happened in small town you might even be able to find newspaper articles on it.

I would try and find out what really happened first. Sometimes they are at the wrong place at the wrong time sort of thing. But most of the time that isn't it so I'd check a sex offender registry and contact your local police to see what happened. If you have known them for a long time I don't think you'll be in any danger but if you have kids I'd tell them to stay away from them. I'm not defending them when I say check the situation because I think they are all sick but I mean you'll know wether or not you'll have to check your back every 2 seconds.

It means that he had contact of a sexual nature with a minor. Remember, a minor is anyone under the age of 18. most court documents are open to public speculation, so if you r not comfy asking him about it, get the report from the court. My brother and his fiancee had sex before they were to be married. The girl's father didn't care. Her mother did. Her mother pressed charges even though it was consensual. The girl was one month form turning 18. My brother is now a registered offender for pedofilia. She was still legally a child. Now he has to be careful. Don't judge til u know the facts.

I've never heard of it, but I can tell you what the words mean ... they mean that he used 'gross' (very easily understood, broad) sexual 'words' or 'gestures' in an attempt to get the victim to have sex with him. It could be a 'misdemeanor' or it could be a 'felony' ... and you could call your local 'police office' (not 911) to ask which it is ... and whether the man is a 'registered sexual offender' that you need to 'watch out for' around yourself, your partner, and your children.'

It means that he has been convicted of touching one or more minor age children in a sexual manner. It is basically inappropriate touching.

If you have children, you need to keep them away from this neighbor, many sexual predators offend again and again.
