I love Delia, I have tried serveral of Delia's recipes and all were good.
Jamies has some great recipes too. I have not read any of Jamies cook books but if they are anything like his shows I am sure they are entertaining and well worth reading.
I have tried any of Gordon's Recipes but I hear his rissotto is very good..
I also like Nigella too, she has a fondness for cooking long lost comfort foods that I have forgot about and after seeing her show crave for weeks till I eventually make.

I think they all have something great to offer. :)

Out of that group, I would say Delia. Her halloumi salad is TDF.
Other than that, Lidia Bastianich. She makes cooking Italian simple and elegant.

delia's recipes are reliable but a bit plain. i find jamie's recipies easy to follow and tasty. i've got 2 ramsey books that i barely use.

i have to agree with others above that nigel slater's are my favourite, his enthusiasm is so infectious i get hungry just reading his books.

Nigel Slater without a doubt.

Unfussy, loads of great ideas and brilliant writing by someone who is passionate about food...

(And gorgeous photos)

Particularly Appetite - my favourite cookbook ever.

Delia. Her recipies work, her ego is under control. The woman is a god.
