I dont know what to do anymore...?

For the past two years i have talked to this guy. he has become a good friend and even though he moved out of state last year we still talk everyday. A few months back he told me that he was inlove with me but i didnt say it back. which he said was fine. He is always talking about how much he cares about me and how i am everything he could ever hope for. he said he would even move back here if i would just be his girlfriend..he has pretty much stopped dating because he says he can only think of me.
i like him i do. but the thing is in my life right now im not ready for a relationship. i go to two different colleges and i have a full time job. i really want to work on my career. He is also 5 years older than me.
So i guess my question is. should i stop talking to him so be can maybe find someone? i want him to be happy.
But what do i do?

yah just be honest with him. tell him you think he is a sweet guy, but that your priorities in life differ than his. tell him a relationship is not something you want at this moment.. even tell him that his apparent obsession with you is making you uncomfortable.

try to slow down the communication. don't talk every day. cut it back to once a week. he really needs to learn to get over his feelings for you and he needs to start dating someone else.. only then can you really focus on a friendship with him.. if he continues to obsess and pressure you for a relationship, you may have to end all ties with him.

Obviously you realize he's a little obsessed with being your man. So now I'm feeling you are a little worried about how he will react to you not wanting to be in a relationship with him. First things first you can't make everyone happy, all you can do is hope that they understand and accept your descisions.
