Ex: If someone says: "Ta geule", you could say: "si j'avais une geule, j'aurais quatre pattes et ta face.
It's a bad example, so what?

I think a middle finger in the face...two inches from the bullies nose..and a firm "I Love You" would suffice. Don't go gettin' beat up on my advisement...

I have no idea what it said in french but, in genral this back and forth doesn't lead anywhere. It is better to take a thruth position. Attack them with truth. For example some one calls you an idiot. Instead of calling the person another name why not try, this. " Why are you always so, agresive". or "why do you have to be so insulting all the time", "am I an idiot because you don't like me or what is the deal". "Do you enjoy pushing people buttons and insulting everybody?, what kind of person does that?".
The first time you read it you will think that this is lame. But there is a lot at work here. You see by saying these things you are putting the ball on the bullies court. You see, when a bully harrasses a person he/she is looking for attention. So, everybody will be looking. What you are doing then is a couple of things. You are not getting agresive so the situation is not escalated to a fight. If it does escalate to a fight then it is the bullys fault. You tried to difuse the cituation but it was the bully who continued. End result, the bully looks like the bad guy.
The other thing you are doing which is an extension of what I said above is putting some reasoning into the person. The bully is loking for a fight but, you are telling the bully the truth. So he/she is in a situation that if he/she continues will look bad for them. Yes, they can beat you up and think they are the toughest person in town but they will loose respect from other people because they are being exposed as bullies.
Another thing is that you are standing your ground. You are neither looking for a fight nor cowering away. You are confronting the situation and not the bully.
When the bully keeps harrasing you you can always say something like. "You know, I came here to ______, I did not come here to fight or to argue. You keep calling me an idiot even though I am trying to diffuse the situation.It makes me wonder who the real idiot is since I am trying to behave like a mature person when all you can come up with is insults and aggression." Again, you are putting the bully on the spot. If he keeps insulting you then he/she looks like the lesser person because that is all he/she can do. An educated prson can discuss a problem but, only a true idiot can only say insults.

While I can't give you any replies to a bully's insults I can tell you how to stop the bully.
Most bullies work on the same principle. To intimidate and get a reaction. Take away the reaction and intimidation and they have nothing left to gain from bullying you and will stop.
Replying to a bully whether it be to submit or to retort will only feed his or her desire and have them come back to you for more.

If the bully speaks in English and you reply in either French or Spanish they won't know what you are saying (most bullies are ignorant), so you can say anything you like.

Ignoring them and walking away, or even smiling at them, has worked best for me. Nothing annoys a bully worse than when his bullying has no effect!

Don't give them the satisfaction of ANY reply......Walk away. Sooner or later, they'll get tired of not getting a reaction. It's impossible to argue with someone who won't argue.

If someone is bulling you, and you keep reacting to it they are just going to do it some more, the best thing for you to do is to start walking away and ignore them, and don't show them that it is bothering you. because then they will stop. good luck.
