I read someone recently reguarding Office software that a disc can be loaded on up to 3 different computers so I was just curious if it would work.

Office Pro has nothing to do with Windows XP pro. The pro just means that particular software, whether Office, Money, XP, or Vista, has some extra bells and whistles.
So yes it will work. However, it belongs to your aunt. If she has it installed and is using it, you cannot legally use it. These days, MS verifies the authenticity of everything before it will even run. If it's registered to her, then it might not work for you.

Technically, yes it'll work. Leagally??? It may be a violation of the EULA (license agreement) and against copyright laws if you both have it installed.

Use OpenOffice. Its free. Save the money and buy your Aunt a present, then take her out to dinner with the money you've saved.

It will install just fine. Go for it and don't forget to install the short cut bar.
