Why are you on here? Time wasting as the rest of use are. Why do you read the questions if you don't want to answer, I think you secretly like looking at the holier than thou questions and secretly want to know more, its good all good, carry on!

Most of the holier-than-thou types on here are the Atheists but they don't usually ask this question, they usually get asked this question. Are you a holier-than-thou type? You just asked that question.

It makes you wonder, since they have to be on here too in order to ask that question. :)
I don't think being on here is a waste of time at all. I can't tell you how much broader my perspective of the world is as a result of reading other people's answers and questions on here. It has made me a more objective person. I think about things a lot differently than I did a year ago.

Haha!
A lot. Because, obviously, their religion is the only way to go, so everyone else should just shut up and get the hell out of the way, right?
And actually, I waste a lot of time here because it is FAR more entertaining to answer questions like those ones than to write the papers I should be writing...

I like coming here to learn about different religions and whatnot. It also is a good way to kill time. I find it annoying when those types ask that question because they do so in a condesending way as in to insult people.

I have always found it funny when people posting to a site ask other posters that. Especially when they also suggest that you get a life. I mildly chuckle, though, when it is followed up with a suggestion to read a book or volunteer somewhere as a better use of my time....knowing that whomever uttered that has probably never done either activity in their lifetime.

every now and then someone will honestly ask for prayer for a situation I may be able to share with them. Other than that I like guessing who is going to get reported for some offence of the guidelines.

More than you can imagine. They always tell me to "Repent, and ask Jesus for forgiveness", since I'm a Deist gay guy, so my chances in the Christian heaven are zero. Yeah well, I'll try to ignore the bigots.

I just don't like it when people accuse me of "making messes" (as one person stated) and critisize me just because my faith, or lack there of, doesn't reflect theirs.
There are a lot of things to ponder here though, a lot of insightful words and compassionate people that have good things to share...that is why I bother.
