I would like to use a rod and hangers, but I do not know how to affix them to the fiberglass door.

They make plastic curtain rods with magnets on them, which are designed to attach flat to a metal door. Maybe you could get one of those and attach strong double-sided adhesive to the magnets (I think 3M makes a good product) and stick them up with some very lightweight curtains.

Instead of hangers, use a tension rod. They come in several sizes are pressure fit inside the trim edge. No hardware required. You might also try actually attaching the magnets to the material for an unusual effect.
