Then why don't we launch surgical missile strikes against all the businesses, organizations, clubs and communities that fly dozens of flags from all over the world?

Why didn't we throw the Olympic Commission into Gitmo for committing treason in Salt Lake in 2002?

Please, people: if you don't want liberty for everyone else and yourself, why do you even LIVE in the U.S.A.?
There are so many countries that only allow THEIR flag, and don't take the kind of crap that you're complaining about!
SO MOVE THERE!

Um, the USA is a multicultural and supposedly free society. I don't understand why all of a sudden waving a foreign flag is a problem. In my town we see Italian flags on Pizzeria's, British flags on antique shops, and Canadian flags worn by Canadian immigrants. I don't understand why it's a problem when Mexicans wave their flags but nothing is said about all these other flags (mostly European) who have been waved in America since the late 1700's. Also in my town theres a lot of this "South is rising" bullsh*t going on so they wave the Confederate flag. Where's the treason for that? There's people from my town who still want to split from the union but their excuse is: "But it's our culture" Whatever. I guess it's those Americans RIGHT to wave the flag of their ancestors, no one is moaning about the Southern rebels waving an actual flag which represents treason.

Since when is flying or displaying a foreign flag treason? Sounds like some of the conservative hate radio clap trap to me. There are rules for flying the American flag with respect to other flags but no law against flying other flags.

Its not a matter of flying a foreign flag. Its a matter of respecting the country you live in. Here in the US, the American Flag should be first, and then the foreign flag, where ever it may come from. Not the Foreign flag and then the American flag upside down. I don't have a problem with people flying the flag from their home country as long as they respect the American flag, because it is the flag of the country they now reside in. If they have no respect for that, then they need to go home.

In the city where I live, it has Norwegian flags displayed all over so the people who are of Norwegian decent should move back to Norway if they want to display their home countries flag? I would think those who disagree with displaying of other countries flags would not mind the Norwegian flag because after all that country is mainly Caucasian and they probably wouldn't complain.

My flag is the American flag. I don't care what flag anyone else flies but if I see you desecrating the US flag I will stop you one way or another. I don't burn other country's flags or disrespect them. But neither will I stand by and see our nations flag disrespected by any one. And I'm not moving ANY WHERE !
Respect this nations flag or you move somewhere that they don't have any national pride. Many people fought and died under the red ,white and blue to give us the freedoms we have today. I for one am very proud of my country and my nations flag.

Big difference between representing many cultures/countries (Like the Olympic comment you made) through flying many flags and when a person is flying only ONE flag which that person has allegiance to.

If you don't like the US why don't you go to another country. Flying flags shows ALLEGIANCE. Many illegal aliens in the US have allegiance for their home country and only come here to steal, sell drugs and send money back to Mexico.

I don't think it is treason especially if someone comes from another country and still have patriotism to their home. If they don't want to fly the flag it's their decision the price for freedom of speech is being offended. So sometimes it sucks but it's America and you have the right to fly whatever flag you want.

I have a problem with illegal mexicans coming over, and flying their flags. They come over illegally, totally break our laws, and our sovernty, and then have the greasy gall to fly their flag. There's nothing that pisses me off more than to see an over loaded car full of mexicans with a fricken front license plate that displays the mexican flag. If your country is so fabulous then why the hell are you here?

it is not treason, it is natural for a nation made of people from all around the world to display their pride. however when i moved from TX 2 GA, my true Texas pride was voice and displayed- but you still have to realize that when you do the native pride there will have its issues with it. you have to be proud but not to where you are offending others in the process...

I agree but one also has to look at why they're flying the foreign flag. If its simply pride that one thing. If its protesting the US, that's quite another -- like when the illegals were protesting, saying they were americans too, but flying the mexican flags instead of the US flag.
