Doing some research, it seems that reading astrological signs in the paper, getting your palm read or consulting spirit mediums is demon practices...according to the bible. Here are my findings
Deuteronomy 18: 10-12 says:
Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in [a] the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you.
Then I thought...we we are no longer under the mosaic law, what about today since we are under Christs law?
I then found Acts 16: 16 where a young girl was practicing divination and she was backed by a demon. Then Paul drove the demon out in the name of the Lord.
I don't know about you, but reading tarot cards, contacting the dead and reading zodiac signs is pretty bad.

I suppose you could put reading horoscopes under "divination or "interpreting omens", if you really wanted to, although the text doesn't specifically mention astrology...oth, didn't God say He had put the stars there to "be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years" (Genesis 1:14)?
Also, how did the maji know when and where to look for Jesus? Wasn't it in the stars? They "saw his star in the east" (check out Matthew 2:2-10).
I would recommend not sacrificing your babies...and that would include abortion...or fooling with such nonsense as oija boards, or tarot cards, or having your palm read...most of that stuff is fake anyhow...and I certainly would steer clear of anyone who claims to be able to speak with the dead...I'm fairly sure some of them are consorting with demons, but most of them are just plain fakes...I'd be careful about whom I label a "witch", since the original language refers to a person who uses his/her knowledge of roots and herbs and such to harm..i.e., a "poisoner"...not these youngsters who are "wiccans"...some of them are better "Christians" than alot I know...
Oh, and steer clear of fornication, and don't eat anything that's been strangled...and judge not...
I wondered about the woman in Acts, myself. She was telling the truth about the apostles, and yet it was a demon, it says. There must be more to that story than we're told. Still, I wouldn't mark everyone who has ever had an "insight" damned, or possessed. God is still working through His people, let's not forget...and let's not forget such greats as Daniel, who interpreted dreams, or Samuel, who told the Jews what to expect when they kicked God off the throne, or...well, the examples are many...and they continue on into the NT as well, as I am sure you know.
Horoscopes?? Hmmm...I dunno. Follow your conscience, I guess...me, I just think they're kinda silly, but if you think they're "sinful", don't read 'em. You do have a choice, you know.

I don't think the commandment to stay away from divination and such was part of the law that was fulfilled in Christ. He fulfilled the law of sacrifice, nothing more. All other commandments are still in force for all other commandments are contained within the two great commandments Jesus gave. Love God and Love your neighbor.

Zodiac signs are not taken seriously by most Christians. And I don't think it qualifies as what the N.T. called divination. It's mainly amusing and not any less scientific than classifying personality types and predicting behavior from that, which some psychologists do.

thats right! but we still have the mosaic law.
Matthew 5:17
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
the Messiah is not a liar, and so he just added the key point to the law, the spirit of the law.

No, Christians should not follow these practises. We don't need to we are connected with the Creator of all the Universe. We know who holds are future and who is always there for us.
