How do you overcome something like this?
I have no trouble talking to guys and being friends, etc...
What I do have trouble with is when all of a sudden they like me. I get all shy like and I just don't know what to do. I get nervous and everything. Anyone else get like that or is it just me?
I don't understand why I get like that. Sure I really like them but as soon as they take it a step further I get all shy and nervous LOL!!

you can only do this by yourself.
do whatever you feel happy with doing, if you are nervous tell them and they will understand !
once you have tried something once you will bne more happy about it in future and the more times you do something the easier and less challenging it becomes.

Being a guy, I can tell you, many guys want to get "intimate" much faster than young girls.
It seems to me if you are still nervous like that, it is not "right."
That is, you will feel yucky after.
It is better to wait, but if it happens a little "too fast" the first time do not make a big deal out of it and chalk it up to practice for the "soul mate."
But, the serious side; Some guys WILL give you an STD without telling you, and you could be sensing that. Herpes for example. And that is really tough on a nice girl.
So, better to tell them you are "old fashioned" and explain girls like to wait a long time their first time.
If one or another keeps wearing on you, go to a guy who is handsome and taken, and tell him you have a problem with this one guy. But ONLY after you have told him to his face first to get lost.
In short, Guys want you. Tell them "tough luck" unless it is the truly right one you have known for a while.
(Another quick thought, tell the guy you want to get on the pill, so it seems "natural" and will he help you go to planned parent hood to get the pills. Any guy that won't at least try to do that, is only going to bring trouble.)

First just realize that no one is better of different than you. They're all people and there's nothing to be afraid of. Now try to be about something that people will like about you. Join sports groups and clubs at your school. Do things that are fun and interesting. Get on the honor roll or something cool. Do you have a cool hobby or a talent like playing music or something? Do stuff, be somebody then you won't feel like such a geek when people approach you.

step outside of your outside of your comfort zone. do crazy things...you just gotta take a chance sometimes.
whats the worst that can happen?
with guys, don't worry, a lot of people have trouble talking to the opposite sex...i did. you just have to start talking about something that they like and boom, your having a conversation.
you just gotta gather up you strength and do it!
one step can take you a long way
***GOOD LUCK***

I can feel your pain! Lol! Just don't focus on the fact that they like you & think of them as potential friends and relax!
