Hey everyone.

Right im currently trying to make my own windows xp pro install disk using nlite and to some degree have been succesful i.e intergrated my drivers to install everytime i need to format etc.

But does anybody know how to add applications to the install so lets say for example i wanted nero and office 2003 to install automatically as well. So i would end up with a bootable cd/dvd that installs windows and apps?

Also how do i manually download the latest xp pro updates from microsoft as i want to intergrate them aswell.

Any help at all would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance

You're better off using Linux to create custom Windows XP install images.

http://unattended.sourceforge.net/

It will even handle all the software keys. Very handy if you have a Select license agreement.

You can download the patches from the Microsoft site.

Norton Ghost is the way to go for an image. As for XP Pro updates then go to the MS site and follow the links. Some of them are worse than useless and can slow your machine down btw.
