I have been cooking it on low to med for about 8 hours and I still don't think it is done? How can I tell?

Stick a fork in it and it should go in easy. If it's only 1.5 lbs. and has been in for 8 hours on medium it must be done. I made a 2 lb. roast Sunday and had it on high for 6 hrs. and it was perfect. If cooking on low you need 8-10 hrs. Enjoy

The longer you cook it the more tender it will be. I usually cook mine for 5 hours on high or 10 hours on low. Give it another hour and test with a fork. It should go in easy and the meat shoul break apart or cut off a small piece and see if it's tender. If its tough or real chewy cook another 1/2 to 1 hour longer.

Stick a fork into it and give a twist. The meat should start to shred and it will be tender.

The best way to tell is to slice it and look. If the inside is still too pink for your taste -- or to be healthy -- turn it on high for awhile.

it should just fall apart when you try to get it out of the crockpot.
