I mean, pain is a physical reaction to stimulus. Without a body (and a brain to send pain signals) how can our non-physical souls feel pain?
I heard somewhere that the fire of Hell is described as "real fire" which leads one to assume it is the kind you find here on Earth...
And the worms that 'not not dieth', how will they feast on us when we are nothing more than apparitions?

Seems like a poorly though-up threat used to scare small children into obedience and faith.

Alot of People will tell you that an Emotional Pain can be Alot Worse than a Physical Pain.
The real Pain (mental) will be Knowing that you Could of Accepted Jesus as your Saviour, but you did not.
And, Once you Feel the LOVE of GOD, befor you are Told to "Depart", that LOSS will Stay with you a Long Time.

Hell is a metaphor. It's not really a place full of caverns and neverending flames with demons running around with pitchforks. Those images are not from the Bible. They are the horror stories that we create out of our own minds.

Nobody knows what Hell is like. While it's described as a place of torment, it doesn't say that Satan is going to be the guy running a torture chamber and we're going to go through medieval tortures.

In the end, Hell is "the second death." It means that we don't get to be with God - we go to oblivion. Satan gets thrown into the lake of fire - the second death. It's not really a lake. It's a spiritual lake of fire. Oblivion.

souls have feeling, just not the same kind of physical pain. it's like the soul has the same generated sensation as the body does, just in an ethereal world, you feel ethereal pain.
