You want to ensure that you stay away from lotions that contain mineral oil as the molecular structure is too large to penetrate the pores of your skin, sitting on the top layer like saran wrap. This causes dirt and debris to collect on your skin and causes our skin problems. You want to stick with a water based product. If you're going to use a day crème, use one with a SPF of 8, nothing higher as this is too irritating for the skin on a daily use. You might want to try Arbonne's anti-aging day crème or intelligence moisturizer. If you're open to trying a free sample, I'll be happy to send you one.

You need to make sure it is recommended for your face as some moisturizers have ingredients that will clog your pores and cause acne.
I would stay away from body lotions.

This is from my own experience. Use a lotion with glycerol in it. I have read that Dove and Oil of Olay are very good. I would suggest also something with Propyless if you can get it in the states.

Cetaphil lotion is the best thing you can use on your face. My dermatologist even recommended it for my sensitive (yet dry!) skin.

I use Vaseline lotions. They are great. Even on the nose.
