Is it possible to introduce a female macaw into our home when we already have a African Grey. Would they get on. Not sure if our Grey is male or female. Would grey stop speaking to me. Be very grateful for any advice you have

You can have both in your home, but make sure they are in separate cages and have separate play areas if they are out at the same time. A macaw is a lot larger than a grey and could potentially harm the grey. They may get along as I have seen many birds of different species who got along great, but in my book you are better safe than sorry. Some African greys can be very sensitive to change and may not like the new addition, on the other hand he might like the company, it depends on the personality of your particular grey

You can try it but be aware that both will need their own cages-they cannot share a cage under any circumstances.
Also many parrots tend to be fairly jealous of their owners so yes you grey might be in a bad mood for a while after.

Oogajones gave you good advice. You need to be very careful introducing them they may get along they may not and either bird is large enough to do damage to each other or you.
The safest thing would be to just have the African Gray

both should be fine.Just don't put them in same cage.
