Jesus said no man took his life, you say Jews did. One of you don't know what they're talking about.
John 10:17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. 18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

It wasn't the "Jews" that killed Jesus. For one he was destined to die for the sins of man, and everyone played a part in letting it come to pass. Jesus, Judas, the Jewish priests, Poncius. Jesus had alot of views and ideas that challenged the way those in charge have been doing things. Whenever a mortal man steps forward and shows people a "Better" way of living then those that have been making money on the ignorance of the masses have to do what they can to ensure that his views don't keep spreading. Obviously there was a conspiracy to kill Jesus, but the Jews didn't do it. They simply played a part in the planning of Jesus' death. Plus Jesus was coming in a preaching a new religion that challenged what the Jewish community was preaching. Jesus was a Jew too, so what's that all about? Man killed Jesus, period. The Jews needed to be the ones that everyone could blame because they are Abraham's children. They're not gonna go to hell regardless they just go to a lower level of heaven. Get off their backs it wasn't even all the Jews, it was only the priests that hated on Jesus.

The worst libel of all times is that the Jews are responsible for Jesus' death.
It was the Romans and only the Romans.
But the myth that you are perpetuating here is the cause of 2000 years of anti-Semtism.
Even the Pope has denied your charge, and it is about time that you stopped inciting.
And you didn't have to post the same racist charge all over Yahoo Answers. Once was too much; twice is just evil.

Several key stories can be related to the Christian mythology tale of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Only some of them attribute the actual killing of Jesus Christ by the direct hands of the Jewish community of Israel at that time.
While crucifixion was in fact a method in which the Romans executed felons in the time of Jesus, there is no way of authenticating any Jewish involvement in the crucifixion.
The New Testament tells of the conviction of Jesus by the Sanhedrin, the Jewish court of the time, in the crime of claiming himself as a false prophet. After his conviction, the New Testament states Jesus was transferred to the hands of the Roman high console, Pontius Pilate who sentenced him to death by crucifixion under the charge of mutiny against the Roman Empire.
As mentioned above, it is not clear how much of the story is based in facts, nor how much was there actual active involvement of the Jews in the death of Jesus Christ.
This tale of the Jews responsible for the death of Jesus was one of the founding stones of the classical anti-Semitism, and in the name of vengeance many Jews were killed throughout history.
In conclusion, some tales connect the Jews to the death of Jesus Christ, but there can be found no substantial evidence to such occurrences, the accusation against the Jews did in fact bring many recorded incidents of violent acts against Jews.

This is a common misconception. The jews did not kill jesus. It was the Romans. Many people are against jews because they beleive they did this but they did not. It was a story made up when jesus died and it has been passed on until today.

He was challenging the religious authorities, showing them up. The ones at the top were very proud and worldly, and not at all bothered at murdering someone in their way. He was doing staggering miracles so they were also very envious of the status he had; they were losing people's approval, his comments on their hypocrisies were making people see them in a bad light.
The religious authorities had to cunningly plot to get him, as otherwise the people would prevent it.
Of course Jesus was deliberately presenting himself as a willing sacrifice, to pay for sins, so he could have evaded capture or even called down such supernatural backing that the religious leaders would have not been able to. But he did not.
There might have been a chance for the crowd to stop it when Pilate presented him, but he must have looked so pitiably smashed up ... people are very fickle and mean to the weak and hurt... that's just human nature.. and of course Jesus was presenting himself as a perfect lamb, accepting his sacrificial role.

I think its spelt ROMANS.
However the reason why he was put to death was simple -
1: Jesus would not fight. (Israelis like to Fight)
2: He taught the bible in a way many Rabbi's did not like - Jesus said God was for ALL who welcomes him (welcomes God, not Jesus)
3: He taught the bible from Gods point of View, and this misled the stupid into believing Jesus was in fact God, when simply all he was doing was telling the word in the way it was written...
4: He said that the Kingdom of God is all around you and within you (and that's Heresy to the Catholic Church even today)
Remember the Catholic God isn't the same as Jesus's God

The Jews did not kill Jesus. It was not allowed on high holy days. The Romans crucified Jesus.
Matthew: 27:25..Then he(PILATE) ...had Jesus flogged and turned over to be crucified.
Mark: 16:15..after having Jesus flogged, he(Pilate) turned Him over to be crucified.
John: 19:16..So Pilate turned Him over to them to be crucified.
"Them" refers to the Roman soldiers.
"Christ Killer" is a term rooted in European culture and history.
Pope John Paul II condemned it.
The Romans feared that calling Jesus "King of the Jews" would inflame an already tenuous situation. Only Caesar could be called King.
