Personally, I think that it's hypocritical to say that it is, because the only evidence I can find in the Bible against homosexuality is in Leviticus, but few people follow all the rules that are set in Leviticus (no tattoo's, don't let a witch live, ect.) so why do you get to pick and choose? What's your view point?

Remarrying after divorce is in basic terms a sin whilst the divorce grow to be no longer the reason in the back of adultery or unfaithfulness. in case you divorce your companion for the different reason different than adultery or unfaithfulness then it extremely is a sin to remarry. Homosexuality is a sin. i'm no longer judging them because of fact I sin and so does the different man or woman in this earth. i've got self assurance that they ought to comprehend that God perspectives their existence type or habit as sin. God additionally perspectives mendacity, cheating, stealing, fornication, adultery and coveting as sin additionally to call some. in case you suspect that homosexuality is widely used and ok then it extremely is your opinion. i think of that it is not widely used and if yiou might in basic terms learn homosexuality then you might comprehend it extremely is isn't organic in any respect. Homosexuals can not professional create. while you are the type that announces something is going and that there's no such ingredient as top or incorrect, before everything you're mendacity to your self because of fact i'm particular you may agree that rape or newborn molestation is misguided and secondly, you're blinded by sin.

I think homosexuality is not wrong at all. I don't base my morality on the Bible (other than in the general sense that "thou shalt not kill..." etc is in there, but some form of the ten commandments are pretty much common to every morality system), so I won't talk about Biblical justification or sin...
But to say that it's a sacrilege against marriage is just blind and stupid... people who love each other should be allowed to marry, period. Straight people screw up marriage enough already, and allowing gays to marry wouldn't stop straights from doing anything they're already doing.
And more generally, no, there is absolutely nothing wrong with homosexuality. It's just one way of being.

The Bible consistently tells us that homosexual activity is a sin (Genesis 19:1-13; Leviticus 18:22; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9). Romans 1:26-27 teaches specifically that homosexuality is a result of denying and disobeying God. When a person continues in sin and disbelief, the Bible tells us that God “gives them over” to even more wicked and depraved sin in order to show them the futility and hopelessness of life apart from God. 1 Corinthians 6:9 proclaims that homosexual “offenders” will not inherit the kingdom of God.

God does not create a person with homosexual desires. The Bible tells us that a person becomes a homosexual because of sin (Romans 1:24-27), and ultimately because of their own choice. A person may be born with a greater susceptibility to homosexuality, just as people are born with a tendency to violence and other sins. That does not excuse the person choosing to sin by giving into their sinful desires. If a person is born with a greater susceptibility to anger / rage, does that make it right for then to give into those desires? Of course not! The same is true for homosexuality.

However, the Bible does not describe homosexuality as a “greater” sin than any other. All sin is offensive to God. Homosexuality is just one of the many things listed in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that will keep a person from the kingdom of God. According to the Bible, God’s forgiveness is just as available to a homosexual as it is to an adulterer, idol worshipper, murderer, thief, etc. God also promises the strength for victory over sin, including homosexuality, to all those who will believe in Jesus Christ for their salvation (1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Corinthians 5:17).

It is a sin and this is the reason. Whenever the human mind intervenes with creation (and this is the only thing the human thought does) and degrades it to the point where you do not love God supremely, but now love your sex partner for physical reasons, then you have broken the first commandment. God never allows our thought or love to stray without punishment, and that is how we learn to overcome temptation, or the human suggestions of reality. This is why you find STD with all sexual misconduct, because truth does not sustain any sin nor protect the sinner from suffering.

Yes, I believe it is a sin. A sin is anything that separates us from God whether that be homosexuality, lying, deceitfulness, pride, hypocrisy, whatever.

And the wording against homosexuality is also found in the New Testament. Try Romans 1: 26, 27; 1 Cor. 6: 9-11.

It is important to remember that while we condemn homosexuality that we don't comdemn the homosexual. Hate the sin, not the sinner! WE are all sinners and none of us deserve to receive grace, but we do. So can any sinner.

As far as following all the Levitical laws, you have to go the NT and understand that God made it perfectly clear that it is not what enters in that makes us unclean. It's what comes out that makes us unworthy.

Maybe you should try reading the whole Bible, perferably in the New Testament. A lot of the Old Testament laws were shadows with the new covenant with Jesus when He came. Look at Romans 1:27. It says it plain as day

Romans 1:27 "In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."

This is in the new testament, after Jesus's assention. God made man and woman to fit together, it wasn't meant to be any other way. homosexuality is a sin, it no worse and no better than any other sin. no one is perfect, you can be a christian and still struggle with homosexuality. it is when you indulge in it, that is when you let it take over. Obviously God doesn't condone homosexuality, but to God, sin is sin, and we should not judge others, lest we be judged.

the Bible is part BS. I'm a Christian and believe in Jesus Christ as my saviour but i don't follow the Bible diligently only because the people who wrote it could have made up stuff or put their opinions in it. God is all loving why would he send you to hell because of the way you were born?

Personally? Well to God it is. So I guess I must agree with him. However that does not mean I judge homosexuals. It is not for me to judge. Oh and by the way, Christians are not under Mosaic Law anymore. Now, only God has the right to judge people as we get it wrong most of the time, i.e. thousands of 'witch' burnings to date.
