Yes!! Who cares what the girl thinks? You should do what feels right to you. Also, what makes them think that you copied? Maybe you got it from someone else or you even liked the hair cut before your friend got it. If you are that worried try making it a little different by doing different things to it. Like gel the back, add barrettes or clips, take some wash out dye and make little streaks in you hair, etc. It is your hair and if you feel it expresses who you are then go for it!! Also, you said her hair has grown out so technecally she doesn't have that hair style any more. Just remember, do what YOU think feels right:)

yeah! definatly, i had a friend that even went to the EXACT same person i was going to go to. i just did it anyways. being the brat she was, of course she was a little upset. but i dont usually copy other people so it wasnt a reputation. just wear different styles with your hair than she does some of the time. like a cute headband with a few strands pulled down in front of your face, or a random small braid through it. i did the same thing you were about to do, and i didnt regret it and no popularity difference! go for it!!

Im 14 too, and i know its hard to have to deal with what people think, but she should take it as a compliment that you like her old hairstyle so much that you want yours cut like it too. If she is still mad or if other people think you are coping her than they should just get over it. its your hair not theirs. and their opinon dosent really matter. if getting that hair cut is going to put a smile on YOUR face than thats the only thing that matters. Be an individual and stand up for your own style is what i say! good luck in your decision.

If you like the hair cut just go for it. I am also 14 and had a cut with short in the back and long in the front, mine grew out so I just got it really layered. :) It may feel like coping but if love the haircut, just do it.^-^

I think you should cut your hair any way you want to. Don't worry about what other people think. If the girl says anything just say that you really liked her haircut, and that y'all must have the same tastes.

Yeah, you should. But you should add something of your own, like maybe get the long hair curled. Or get the short hair curled- or both! Just make it seem like you choose out of a magazine- or you made it up! I had the same experience, but it worked out OK.

It shouldn't matter what people think about your new hairstyle, if you like it... GREAT! Make choices based on what you want. It may be the same haircut, but you'll wear it in your own unique way. Go for it!!

It depends- do you do swimming or other sports where this would get in ur way? It's a cute cut- my sister has it- but...if your "friend" has grown it out enough, maybe go for it.
And for the love of...well, just don't go Britney. PLEASE. It would be worse than copying the other girl's style.

Go for it.....so many girls at my school got the same hair cut, 3 layers. I bet your friend will be flattered. And if you like it, go for it, don't hold yourself back if you really like the style! Good Luck!
