okay I'm buying this 2000 honda civic lx 4 door sedan from a friend of the family. It's in great condition, it only has about 64000 miles on it and it had 1 owner and has all records of matnience that was done, well I'm buying for 9999 $ . Is that a good deal?

Look in the want ads and see what they are selling for. That should give you as good idea of what they are worth.

too much, if this car is the nicest 2000 honda civic in the world, its value would be somewhere around here 5 to 6 K

Miles are Ok, but price is too high. Look in www.autotrader.com and search any car you like.
You can find the same car new for 14k or 16k. Don't pay a lot of money.

no you can almost get a brand new car for 10000. I wouldn't do it, but if you want your friendship with this person to end. thats your choice.

go to Kelly's Blue Book .com if the price is below to what your buying is probably not.
