Sounds like the switch in your mouse failed if possible try another mouse from someone else's computer just to prove it is that
if you have to buy another they're very cheap and readily available from any computer store

try shaking the mouse upside down or gentley tapping the left click on the desk or replugging it

its better you change the mouse . buy optical mouse it is better than ball mouse. its life is linger than ball mouse

It must be dirty..take out the ball that it has inside and clean it.
