Would you recommend it? Vistaflor apartments? Nice town, pubs etc. Anywhere there you would recommend visiting? Going there August.

I went there about 4-5 years ago. I enjoyed - the sand dunes are nice, if you can stand the smell and like camels yoou can go on a camel ride. There is a zoo type thing on the outskirts which had a really good Bids of Prey display. The holiday places do tours but the buses are good, clean and cheap. There is also a ferry you can catch up the coast to wander round a little village with flowers etc - think it was nicknamed little venice? The food is really good and cheap and I hung around the Irish sector in the main town which is only a short walk or taxi journey away. There is also a sector which is mainly known for cross dressers/gays but straights get a good night out there too. Be warned the start of the dunes at Maspalamas is also a nude beach area but have to say it seemed to be older guys with what looked like groceries - god only knows where they kept their money!

I"ve ,been there twice..Maspalomas is small and expensive to stay in..but it has a large beach area .and a small nudist beach.. sand dunes and camel treks ..you can walk along the beach to Playa del ingles which is cheaper accomodation wise and it rocks...Puerto Mogan is worth a visit the marina with its cafes restaurants and bars is very romantic and for about 20 quid you can take a half hour trip on a real live yellow submarine!! About 25 m down. Also try inland as the villages are very different with traditional values and lifestyles. i would recommend renting a car..about 100 quid a week petrol is cheap.
