i can tell you all you do is find a class 3 gun that is transferable you pay for it you fill out some paper work if the gun is in another state it will have to be shipped to a class 3 dealer near you that took me 3 mouths then fill out some more paper work i had to pay the local sheriff i think 30 for a background check that took about a few days then i had to get finger printed and a picture and $200 and send it to the ATF in Washington DC most of the time that takes 3 to 6 mouths mine took 7 but they made a mistake and had me mixed up with another person but if you can pass a background check for a regular gun you can pass this one to after that you get a paper with a 200 tax stamp on it and you get your gun and i had to pay 100 to the dealer for holding my gun till i got my paper work but its totally worth it and there are some restriction like you cant take it out of your state unless you have written permission from the ATF

Contact your local FBI, BATF and ask about a class III form, it will set you back a few hundred bucks (if 21 or older) the it takes about 6 months for them to investigate you history. Money is not refundable for the background check.
Full autos have no use for civilians anyway and will cost you around $10 grand anyway.

In order to purchase a full automatic (class 3) firearm you will need what is known as a Form 4. The information for acquiring such a firearm can be found in the included link.

You DO NOT need a Federal License. You need to pass an FBI background check, and pay a $200 transfer tax. You also have to live in a state where ownership of such weapons is not prohibited.

Full autos are very $$$$$ and cost lots to feed them. The hassle is not worth the investment in most cases, but if you can afford them and have NO criminal record at all, you have to get a class 3 license. If not, then they are VERY ILLEGAL to own.

Yes, you need a class III license. This involves an extensive background check. It actually is not very expensive to get the license. It may take a while to get approved. If you have a criminal background, forget it. After that, comes the price of the firearms. They are very expensive. Finding a place to shoot it may not be very easy either.

You need a class 3 FFL. Contact your local NRA representative for assistance if you really feel the need to have a fully auto rifle. He can give you no nonsense answers to your questions.

The owner needs a license and the weapon needs to be taxed and registered. See the link the previous poster listed.

You do not need a military or law enforcement reason.......that guy is full of it.

You need to get a federal license. If you don't have a criminal record and you want to spend the money, you should be able to get one. To get a Class 3 License check out this link for information.http://www.amfire.com/php/container.php?content=../htm/information/full-autoFirearms.htm

Check with BATF in your State. Remember, just because you have all the paperwork that doesn't mean you can carry it. 911 changed a lot of things.
