raped children in their churches, made billions of dollars from their churches and created the richest city in the world.... am I missing anything. Or are they perfect just the way they are?

If christians are capable of all of this, do you think they may be capable of making a mistake or throwing their own thoughts into the bible?

so have muslims why don't u ask them? Because not all are the same only the real extreme ones. Every group has its good and bad

I recognize that members of "Christendom" have done all these horrible things. When any religion takes over a country and becomes a state religion, that generally takes away real individual faith or religious conviction. Because of that, I give you the answer that so many have condemned on YA: "No genuine Christian has committed those monstrosities". Nobody who has Jesus in his heart, nobody who has repented and considered himself to be forgiven, and is seeking to personally follow Jesus would do anything like that.
On the other hand, I agree with you that real Christians, including myself, do read stuff into the Bible. I have done that. That is why I try to reexamine my faith critically. Which doesn't mean that I never read my own ideas into the Bible any more, but I am working on it - I am learning.
EDIT:
As a Christian, I hate seeing the argument: "so have Muslims done that" or "So have pagans done that" or "So have atheistic communists done that". It doesn't lessen one bit the horror of the crimes done in the name of Christianity. and as a Christian I should be much more concerned at what has been done in the name of Christianity than what is done in the name of any other religion.
