Maria Goretti. She was murdered by a man who was trying to rape her. She was stabbed something like 40 times but lived long enough to forgive the man before she died. He went on to become a Brother in a Monastery after he served his sentence. The thing was she didn't want him to rape her not so much for her but, for what the sin would do to his soul.
