It starts with your haircut: DON'T GET IT LAYERED. It will only make your hair look more volume-full. Also, get it cut often to prevent split ends or frizziness.
For products to help your hair, try Pantene Smooth & Sleek shampoo/conditioner with their Get It Straight Smoothing Mousse, or try the Garnier Fructis products.
Anti-Frizz balms are out there too.

go to a beauty store, there is alot of different products you can buy to make your hair straight and shiny and most of it is a knock of brand of the salon products but it works just the same. use shampoo and conditioner from the same brand. There are also products to put on your hair when it is damp and also before and after you straighten it. try using a chi hair striaghtener it is coastly but it will be worth it.

The absolute best is a product called Silk Drops from FX Special Effects. Its an awesome silk serum that will give you the results you're looking for. You can get it at any Walgreens, CVS, and I think Wal-Mart also carries it. You'll love it!

Trial and error. Each product works different on each person. Just have in mind how much you have to spend and go do some shopping in the shampoo, conditions, gel, etc. departments. Read the labels carefully until you find your unique combination.

the best thing to use is TRESemme heat protection spray...spray it on before drying and than straighten your hair...makes it really shiny...or leave your conditioner in over night..
