Jesus is an extremely popular name in Spanish speaking cultures, maybe in others too. I don't know where you are, but in the US, I think everyone knows someone named Jesus because of the huge Hispanic population. It is pronounced Hey-Zues though, even when you say the name in English. Are you in the US? If so you must have met loads of boys and men named Jesus.

As far as Isa, that's a pretty name. Sounds good.

Well, I haven't heard the English name Jesus except for the Son of God...but I do know a lot of people with the Spanish name Jesus (pronounced Hay-Sooce). I think Isa (pronounced Eesaah) is a nice name. Go for it!

Yes, very popular name in Latin American culture. Pronounced however "Hehsoos", phonetically in Spanish. You've probably heard it many times on the telly, but as I have noticed with a seemingly mocking bias . . as if all Latins with the name Jesus, were low down characters.
Oh well, repeatedly, does one encounter ignorance in its' great variety!
But in Arabic it is truly a lovely sounding version of the same name.
I am not putting down Jesus, as we pronounce it and is a common name in Spanish . . but in Arabic, perhaps the sound would not encounter as much mocking!
I'd say "Go ahead! Go for Eesaah, for by whatever its' lovely frangrance a "rose is a rose is a rose!"

Sorry I confused myself, I didn't know if that got anyone else. But no I don't know anyone like talking to them wise, but I have seen someone with the name Jesus.
