I do all the time. I like to pretend that the announcers are describeing what I am doing. "Iron Chef Bobby is now putting the salt into the turkey soup." "That's a very interesting strategy, Bob, I wonder how it will play out."

haha!! YES! my boyfriend and I will 'compete' and see who can finish their part of dinner the best and fastest! It's a great way to get dinner on the table quick!
oh and we both love AB from good eats, so the whole time we are talking to each other about what AB would be saying...
