Why does Donald Duck wear a towel when he comes out of the shower, when he doesn't usually wear any pants?

This question actually touches a nerve with me. Donald suffers from a rare condition called "trouserphasia." I know this because I, too, am cursed with this affliction.

I never know at any given moment whether I am wearing any pants.

Some days, I leave the house dressed perfectly normally, but other days (most days, actually) I'm totally nude below the waist, and I don't realize it until someone recoils in shock . . . or points and laughs . . . or worse.

This psychological illness relates only to pants, shorts, and underpants. It does not apply to overcoats, rain slicks, togas, or towels.

It's a truly embarrassing burden on my life, and it has affected me professionally and socially in countless ways. It has made me irritable and anxious, such that the slightest annoyance provokes me into a fit of rage. I frequently find myself waving my fists and shouting incoherently at friends, family members, even inanimate objects. I seem to hate everyone and everything, but it's all an elaborate mask to hide the real subject of my hate -- me.

Me and my naked lower body.

Most people don't realize that Donald worships the religion of "Buddagua"...a cross between Budhistic worship and the water blessing practices of Catholicism. It requires thrice daily worship (i.e. showering) but the precious drops of blessed agua must never touch the ground....much like the American Flag. So, after each worship, a towel is used to absorb the excess blessing...and often wrapped around the lower torso to prevent any potentially 'hidden' blessing from falling to the ground.

Because viewers relate these characters to humans although they are portrayed as animals. We dont see him as naked. When humans get out of the shower they use a towel so Donald Duck does also to be consistent with the allusion.

Classic prison scene, better to wear one in the shower than not to wear one at all.

If you don't wear a towel after a shower,
prepare to be limping for one whole hour.

Well, most ducks are self-conscious during their time of moulting. It's not a pretty sight! LOL.
So, the times Donald is wrapped after a dip, is to cover the bare patches.
