I think the Dominican Republic has the lowest rates. It really depends on when you are traveling. Low season or high season. Low season is May-Mid December. High season Mid-Dec to April.

Good Luck with your research.

Um...well most of the Americanized/Englisized resorts and hotels are rather expensive. Trinidad and Tobago (probably least expensive), possibly Saint Vincent, and maybe Anguilla, Barbuda and Saint Kitts. Also, Guyana is tropical but is not an island. Honestly, if you really want a taste of true Caribbean flavor you may want to go to Jamaica or Dominican Republic. Alot of hotels/resorts are family friendly. Hope I helped!

Barbados is actually the most expensive island to visit - I live there.
I think Grenada is very affordable - the people are so poor that that keeps the costs of food and beverages down.
They really need tourism so consider visiting here and enjoy, it is a BEAUTIFUL island.

Several of our friends (couples) have gone to all inclusives in the Dominican Republic and said they spent a lot less than their other vacations. They had a really good time.
