I have created a press release for a new product that is aimed at brides and grooms. Where can i find a comprehensive list of contacts at various wedding magazines across the country?

Take if from a PR person, just sending a release seldom if ever gets you press. You need to do your homework, find out each and every publication that might be interested in your product, then get the name of a real person to pitch it to. And after that consider any local papers. Bacon's Newspaper and Magazine Directory is a must. Don't know if any libraries carry it or not. Also, check into regional bridal fairs etc. Most prepare some publication to go with it.

Also be sure your release is in proper release format...folks get really fussy about that. Don't expect much if any return from just sending out a release. There's more to getting press than just a release. Good luck....it's not easy today on your own.

A good place to post your press release online is

http://www.prweb.com

That is a web search

Or you could put it on PRWeb and they will send it to the relevant companies for you.
