Yes she diffidently deserves to know. You should tell her right away but have good evidence otherwise she may think you are only saying this to get her for yourself.

Depends on how well you know the guy and his girl. If you know them fairly well, as in you're "friends" you gotta tell. You'd want one of you're friends to tell you, right?
