I thought that Strep TTS (Toxic Shock Syndrome) caused bacterimia/septicaemia while Staph does not have bacteria, just toxins in the blood . . . now I'm confused. I know that Staph's TTS is usually known for its Toxin A . . what what seperates the two other than toxin types? (Yes I'm aware there are other tests, like gram staining that can be done . . but I'm more curious how I can distinguish the TSS . . (studying for a med test . .thought I've had the correct answer for a while . . and TOTALLY backwards now))

staph tss is more common than strep. both the bugs can cause bacteremia and tss. bacteremia is first, then comes septicemia, then sepsis and lastly septic shock. besides lab analysis, staph, as i said earlier is more common and more aggressive too, good luck
