If you lose one sense, then the others will get more acute. I would imagine that by being blind, you sense of smell would be greater, as would be your sense of feeling and hearing. I'm also sure your sense of taste would develop more as well. So all in all, depending on where you go, it just may be a very pleasant experience. Best of luck to you.

A person's senses of smell and taste would have to compensate for their lack of site. Depending on when a person became blind, they may, or may not be able to associate other characteristics with a food, such as color. A person who became blind as a result of a disease such as retinized pigmentosa and was able to see earlier in life would be able to make those associations, a person who has been blind since birth would have no idea what color actually meant.

Flavor & texture as well as aroma would become more important since the visual appeal would be gone.

It definitely makes you eat slower as you have to find the food with the utensil and get the thing stabbed or scooped.

Well, you wouldn't care a whole lot about the color of foods, but you'd know much more about textures and smells.

Imagine how you test a steak now -- pink, red, etc. -- and you couldn't do that if you were blind.

There is a Restaurant that serves you dinner in complete darkness. Where you can't see what you are eating.

well yes! because since you couldnt see the food you would have to rely on your sense of smell...so before you ate anything you would have to sniff it for a while and it would be hard to eat new foods because if you had not tried a certain food before then you couldnt associate the smell to a food
