Depending on your dosage, it can knock you right out. I take the lowest dose possible, and I can only take it at night, because otherwise I feel like I'm drunk, and I can't talk. I noticed that if I wasn't watching what I was eating, I gained a little weight. Exercise is extremely important. I don't know where you live, but if you live where the weather is cold or lots of snow, consider going to a gym, or an aerobics place, to help keep your metabolism going. I take it to help me sleep at night, because nothing else worked. But I know people who are on it, and the biggest thing to remember is that you need to keep moving, even if every cell in your body just wants to lay down and go to sleep. Hope this helped you out a little. You can also go to Webmd.com, and they can help you find some more side effects and advice there. Good luck!

Wow! I hadn't thought of that. I also take Lamictal and Seroquel, and lately I've noticed some BO problems. It's not really too bad, but I often need to shower twice a day instead of once a day. I thought it was something different I was eating. The problem is that this is the only med combination that has worked this well for me (in 20 years of treatment). I guess I'll just have to smell instead of going back to how I felt before.

It's great for calming my mood and helping me sleep, but I gained a TON of weight. This medication is one of the medications that is undergoing a class action lawsuit because so many people have gotten diabetes from the weight gain and Seroquel.

I take seroquel 100mg 3X a day and also 200mg at night. It generally relaxes me a bit. I sometimes get a little sleepy taking it
but other than that no problems. I take it for Post Traumatic Stress
Disorder.

I used to take it and frankly it didn't help me sleep at all. Zyprexa actually works for me.
But no I don't recall having side effects from Seroquel.

That all depends.. With me and several other people I know it was weight gain. A LOT> a friend of mine gained 70 lbs. I gained 5 and was switched to something else. And it gave me dry mouth as well.
