Do you have a very active terrier that likes cats? (LOL)

You have to retrain her. When she does something like try to bite you have to take control. The word is NO and it is loud and comes out louder than her bark, Your NO is startling as if to stop a baby from running in front of a moving car! NO! with a BOOM she will listen and startle to understand. Also you have to reward for the good stuff in a sweet voice accompanied by petting and a treat.

You need to show her that you are in charge. Right now she thinks you are her property and seems to be a little over protective and maybe even jealous. I would see if you can find a friend or something who has a dog of the opposite sex that is close to your dogs size and put them on leashes and let them sniff each other. If there is a bad reaction you can easily pull them apart. As for your friends give them food and see if she will eat out of their hands and then let them gradually pet her while they feed her. Some dogs just don't get along with other dogs, but don't give up without seeking professional help because her behavior towards other dogs and people especially could become a serious problem.

You really should invest the time and money into obedience training. It's just not safe to have a dog that is aggressive or unpredictable. Call around to different trainers and ask them questions regarding their services and your specific issues with your dog.

I would see a behaviorist. This is different than a pet trainer. There is something wrong with your dog. She needs some one on one work with someone who is trained to work with dogs who have "issues". I would find a local behaviorist and get her started in classes/sessions right away.

I've heard good things about Puppy Smarts training videos. Might be good if you don't have time to get to an obedience class. Good luck! Love can conquer a lot of issues, but you do have to be firm. Best wishes.

Definitely take her to obedience training. You need to be firm with her and not let her walk all over you. That behavior can turn very ugly quickly and needs to be corrected before she harms someone.
