Girls are developing faster and faster (which I think is dietary) and want to be like their older sisters. I want to see what you think what is the appropate age to turn girls loose with a razor.

When they leave the house. Hopefully around 18 years of age. They shouldn't be doing it any time before that anyways. But legs and underarms, I think are different. Maybe around 15 years old?

Whenever they want to. Every girl grows at a different rate so there is no age per say. One of my gf's didn't start shaving until she was almost 18 because she had very fine hair. I started around 12 because my hair was thick and I didn't like it stick out of panties. That and I saw my mom's big bush all time and wasn't a fan of it lol! Either way when you have the sex talk with your daughter you should talk about hygiene. Shaving doesn't nessarialy make you more hygienic as long as you shower daily you will be fine, it's more of a appearance thing. I told my daughter that some woman feel
Comfortable shaving and others are fine with a full bush. She's seen me shave a million times so she was familiar with the mechanics. Now we get together once a week for a spa day where we shave our legs, pits and pussie together while taking a bubble bath.

For legs & underarms I like the idea of the summer before 5th grade.Right before the time looks start to matter more.As for pubic hair,I would say 13 and older and if you see that it is a problem while they are in there bathing suite, you might want to explain to her how to trim it.

When their leg hair and underarms are long enough to have to shave they should be able to shave whatever they want (as long as it doesn't get out of control). if their responsible with it I don't see a probelm. I got a shaver when I was 14

Most women shave 'down there' in order to feel more sexually attractive. If your daughter wants to clean up a little so her pubic hair doesn't show, say, in a swimsuit, I don't see a problem with that. Otherwise, I'd say that you need to have a serious sit-down with your daughter and see what's really behind this. Neither my sister nor myself had any interest in this until we were sexually active, so the desire to shave may be a warning sign.

My Mom bought me my first razor when I started my first period at 13. I wasnt allowed to wear makeup until 15, and wasnt allowed to dye my hair until 17. I thought this was fair at that age, and looking back, its a pretty good plan.

(Once i got the razor, I was allowed to shave whatever I wanted)

My daughter has been shaving since 4th grade and she has had a need to shave. Your daughter is old enough to shave when she is responsible enough not to cut herself to pieces on a regular basis. My daughter cut herself one time and has never cut herself again.
