The obvious pro is that our troops will have better equipment to get the job done. They will be safer, etc. I can't see any con here. We're spending so much money transporting our politicians around on private jets, etc. Let's spend our money where it's really needed!
Road Warrior, let me guess you're not a vet?
The "crippled" soldiers (as you call them) may not have been in that position if they had the equipment they needed. Your lack of caring and concern is disturbing.

During the Clinton administration military funding was cut repeatedly. There is nothing good about more cuts than I can think of, with troops currently on battlefields in wartime.
Stuff wears out and breaks. Newer better stuff comes along. Stuff costs money and the troops need that stuff.
Why should our troops be held hostage on the battlefield so some Democrats can try to pull a bloodless coup on the US President? That is wrong.

More spending in Iraq means more troops, better equipment, safer conditions. At home, more manufacturing to provide that equipment. Which means more jobs. etc etc etc
On the left side if we spent money on our troops in Iraq there is less money to spend giving illegal immigrants benefits. If the liberals don't fight to get illegals more benefits they may not get their vote and we're coming into an election year.

I can only see cons. More spending, more budget deficit. The more the budget deficit, the more we borrow money from China.
When the war is finally over, we'll have lots of unemployed and crippled soldiers, all relying on government's help. The economy will be in shambles, and we have to pay for the trillions of dollars of debt to the Chinese. Then what's next?.

The Left in this country want us to spend less, so more of our troops will die.
They will do anything to cause us to lose.
